Overview

Melee Chromeon can be a very scary tem when properly positioned on the correct team and fielded at the right time. The Synertyper trait combined with its typing, the gear Sensei Robe, and access to the move Soul Shout means it nukes things pretty efficiently. When it isn't hitting hard with Soul Shout, it is hitting hard (and fairly fast with Digital allies) through Harmful Microwaves. In other words, Melee Chromeon is one of those "nasty combo" Tems that can also do good damage when it is not paired with its specific combo allies.

Dubbed "Math Chromeon" by the competitive community, Melee Chromeon deals incredible damage with Sensei Robe Synertyper Soul Shout and Inner Spirit, absolutely shredding unprepared opponents alongside the already well-known threat of Harmful Microwaves. This is likely the most common Chromeon seen in the current metagame, and for good reason.

Despite the name there really isn't that much more to say about Melee Chromeon. More speed may be needed in order to win the mirror-match against other digitals, and if you'd like to use the Sensei Robe on your Monkko instead, Fake Beard can help with stamina management. Hologram is a useful mixup to waste the stamina of your opponents, but this Chromeon is not living a long time.
